The 6th edition of the Maximus O Meeting is just around the corner, and it promises to be one of the best editions to date! Four days of competition in four distinct terrains will challenge every participant, offering a fantastic mix of physical and technical demands. From the youngest competitors to the world’s elite, MOM 2025 will be an event to remember.
This year, we are expecting another incredible lineup of top athletes, including Natalia Gemperle, Megan Mitchell, Johanna Ridefelt, Simon Hector, Lucas Basset, and Albin Ridefelt. The elite races will be fierce, and the energy will be electrifying!
Stage 1 – Long Distance
The Long Distance race will be one of the most special stages of the event and probably a highlight of the season. The terrain is breathtaking: physically demanding due to the steep elevation changes, yet offering sections that will allow the most technically skilled orienteers to truly enjoy the experience. Expect crucial route choices, intense short execution legs, and a constant variation in terrain—from steep slopes to fast open dehesas, intricate rock details, and areas with great visibility. This stage will test all your skills!
Tip: Never run without a solid plan!

Stage 2 – Middle Distance
Get ready for a fun and varied Middle Distance course! This race will take you through three distinct sections: a fast pine forest where speed will be at its peak, a technical oak forest packed with countless rock features and cliffs that will demand precision, and finally, a thrilling finish as you enter the charming town of Santa Cruz de Pinares—just a taste of what’s to come in Stage 3!
Tip: Compass work and sharp control circle execution will be key!

Stage 3 – Sprint
The Sprint race in Cebreros will be all about speed and precision. The terrain is mostly flat, featuring a mix of narrow, intricate streets and more open, linear areas with long avenues. The high pace will be relentless, and every second will count in both major and micro route choices. A race where anticipation and execution will make all the difference!
Tip: Stay ahead mentally… and push hard!

Stage 4 – Chase Start
The final stage is always special at MOM, as the chase start brings an extra level of excitement. The competition will unfold in the Pinar de Juanín, a pine forest filled with rocky details and moderate slopes. After three intense days, the last reserves of energy will be put to the test. Only the best orienteers will make it through this stage without costly mistakes!
Tip: Stay calm and don’t blindly trust other runners… there are many controls out there!
