MAXIMUS WINTER O-CAMP
Maximus Winter O-Camp is an already consolidated project developed by the Spanish Orienteering Club: Máximus.
In the Burgohondo area (1.5h from Madrid) we can find a big variety of high-quality terrains, new and updated maps (the oldest from 2017), and very comfortable weather (snow-free) which gives us the perfect conditions for a winter training camp.
Maximus can provide everything you need: accommodation, blank maps, training maps, trainings with SportIdent, gym, swimming-pool, trail-running routes, …
Nice terrains with a lot of rocky features with many maps in less than 20 minutes driving from the accommodation. 3 SportIdent trainings weekly, more than 20 permanent trainings, and, last but not least, one of the greatest events of the Winter: Maximus O Meeting (4 days competition).

BARBATE SUN-O CAMP
Sun-O is an orienteering club/company which has been organizing training camps professionally for 20 years in Spain and other countries.
This is Sun-O signature camp and the most visited one, far South in Andalusia, with more than 400 permanent controls and ca. 32 sq kms of varied and gentle sand dune terrain, most of it very recently made or reviewed by our cartographers. This camp is quite unique as it is ‘step out the door’ of the apartment and start orienteering. The weather conditions are mostly mild, and prices very competitive. Apart from forest terrains, this part of Andalusia has multiple white villages, superb for Sprint orienteering!
Terrains are generally fast to very fast, with lots of details, flat and hilly, sand dunes and pines, mixed with some low bushes, especially near the coast.
The sprint maps are in fantastic Andalusian white villages, often challenging with narrow streets and corners, low in traffic.

ALICANTE/MURCIA SUN-O CAMP
Sun-O is an orienteering club/company which has been organizing training camps professionally for 20 years in Spain and other countries.
At this camp, Sun-O includes all the possible training options in the South East of Spain, with two headquarters: Guardamar (Alicante area) and Bullas (Murcia area). During your camp, you can just stay in one of the areas for a short time driving, drive a bit more to get some good maps from the neighboring area, or split the accommodation into two periods to get the best out of each area. You decide!
About the Alicante terrain, Guardamar offers sweet sand-dune terrains next to the Mediterranean. Alicante is a classical. This camp is quite unique as it is ‘step out the door’ of the bungalows and start orienteering. The camping we recommend has well-equipped bungalows, fitness areas, and a spa, all on the map! Sun-O owns the last versions (together with the local O-club) of the sand dunes in Guardamar, which are yearly updated.
In Murcia you can enjoy a demanding terrain with many details and moderate climbing. Among the most popular places, you have the opportunity to run in Coto Maravillas (World Cup 2014 terrain) and some cool sprint maps such as Cehegín. If you want to visit the Murcia coast as well, you won’t be disappointed with the nice areas in Aguilas, Calabardina, Mazarrón…
Terrains in Alicante are next to La Marina, mostly coastal sand dunes, and pine forests, very fast and detailed.
Terrains in Murcia have been used for World Cup 2014; are rough, with pine forest and semi-open, detailed, plenty of valleys, spurs, gullies, and gentle climbs. This year Costa Cálida WRE will be held again on those terrains!

HUELVA SUN-O CAMP
Sun-O is an orienteering club/company which has been organizing training camps professionally for 20 years in Spain and other countries.
Sun-O held 3 very successful Andalucia-O-Meetings in this area and have, over the years, built a solid network of 45sq kms of maps (most of them new or renewed in the last 18 months) around Punta Umbria holiday resorts. This camp is unique ‘step out the hotel door’ and start for endless hours and kms of orienteering in varied and challenging terrains, most of them with smooth sandy surfaces, gentle for the bones and ligaments. The weather conditions are mostly mild, and prices are very competitive.

GRANADA SUN-O CAMP

A famous Spanish song said “Granada, land dreamed by me.” And Granada is one of those special cities in the world that should be mandatory to visit, at least once in your life.
At the foot of the Sierra Nevada and under the watchful eye of “The Alhambra” (one of the most important monuments in the world) stands a labyrinthine network of impossible narrow alleys, which will delight any orienteer.
In this camp, newly launched in 2024, you will find a perfect combination of demanding Sprint courses, with beautiful forest areas where you will require your best skills. Come to Granada!

MADRID SUN-O SPRINT CAMP
Sun-O is an orienteering club/company which has been organizing training camps professionally for 20 years in Spain and other countries.
As a big novelty in this 2024 season, Sun-O is launching the Sun-O Madrid Sprint Camp with 12 training sessions on 12 new maps (mapped in 2022-2023). Very high-quality trainings thanks to our cooperation with Spanish team runners who have mapped and set the courses for this new camp in their preparation for EOC 2023: Ana Toledo, Álvaro Casado, Gonzalo Ferrando, Pablo Ferrando, and Héctor Sanchís.
In this camp you will find a varied offer of areas and types of training perfect for fine-tuning Sprint techniques. Use the subway to get around! And last, but not least, enjoy beautiful Madrid visiting the great monuments, jogging in Casa de Campo, or watching a match of Real Madrid in the renewed Santiago Bernabéu!

MALAGA SUN-O SPRINT CAMP
Sun-O is an orienteering club/company which has been organizing training camps professionally for 20 years in Spain and other countries.
Malaga is one of the most important cities in southern Spain, and is the capital of the so-called “Costa del Sol”, famous for its beaches and warm temperatures throughout the year. In this camp (launched again in 2024) you can enjoy the beautiful streets of Malaga, as well as other inland towns that are part of the so-called “White Villages”, famous for the white color of their walls.
All maps are less than 10 minutes from the sea, with spectacular views and a multitude of places to eat the famous and tasty “espetos”, as well as other specialties.
